Philadelphia Candy Show
Before even stepping into the venue, there was already a sweet scent in the air as I neared the doors. This was only a little taste (literally) of all the delicious treats I got to try at the candy show. I did a quick walkthrough just to look at the other vendors. Along with other candy distributors, there were manufacturers, private candy makers, and huge candy making machines. There were so many candies I wanted to try but I had to save my appetite for now.
Our booth looked phenomenal! We set up our Halloween candies on the left side and our Christmas candies on our right. Along our back wall we had our novelty candies like these huge Dum-Dum lollipops. All our visitors loved what we had, and we even placed a few orders on the first day! They also loved our table of samples, ranging from chocolate-covered pretzels, chocolate raisins and yogurt covered pretzels.
It was finally my turn to take a break and walk through the show. I felt like a kid in a candy store except I was a big kid in a bigger candy store. Every type of candy you can think of all in one room. Chocolates, jelly beans, gummi bears, lollipops; the list can go on. There were also treats I've never even seen, like chocolate covered waffle bites. (I became fast friends with that booth after the third visit.) Even crazier, I tried this chocolate covered chip with bacon on it which was very interesting but an acquired taste.
I had a lot of fun talking with new clients and showing them how to use our new website. We also developed a really fun game to get our visitors involved. We filled a large bowl with our sour gummi pumpkins and you had to guess how many pumpkins were in the bowl The person with the closest or exact guess will receive a $100 gift card to Royal Wholesale Candy!
The show was a tremendous success and overall a wonderful opportunity to gain new customers. We talked with people from the farthest parts of the country like Florida and even Nevada. There were attendees that came all the way from Puerto Rico, thus proving that candy is a universal bond. It was a pleasure to be a part of this show with my coworkers and for my first time it made me really excited to see
